Hidden Sanctuary Hotel & Resort review

So I have been searching for the prefect family getaway since my father arrived. I wanted them to relax and free themselves from all the city stress and work loads. I stumbled on this website and found out that they have 30% off promo on its hotel rates. We decided to go there by October 31 to November 1, 2013.

Because our home is near to NLEX, our travel time took less than 45 minutes only. We were greeted by their guard before entering the resort proper.

We were then told by the guard to go inside the reservations office. There I paid for the room and was told to proceed to the hotel. Upon entering, we were okay about the place. We arrived at the hotel lobby and was given our room key and accompanied to our room. We settled for awhile and was amazed with the room for its good facilities. It has a refrigerator, a television, 2 standard sized beds and airconditioning unit. The bathroom was also great and they have given us towels and hygiene needs.

This was our first family picture inside the room. We were satisfied so far. We then ate our packed foods (yes it is allowed to bring in foods as long as they are packed well). After that, we changed clothes and prepared ourselves for swimming. But, we strolled first and checked out what else can we see in the resort.

We were saddened by the fact that they did not open their wave pools which was one of the exciting things here.

So that was me in their Lingayen Gulf.

This is my mom and dad. Those are cabanas for rent on those who wish to have day or night swimming.

This is my brother enjoying the rock band behind him.

Because we were bored on the "not functioning wave pool, we decided to go to the kiddie pool since there was I think an employee orientation thing on the hotel pool (which was the only good pool for us)

The resort has 3 pools available for day & night swimming by the way. 2 wave pools and 1 kiddie pool. The hotel pool I was pertaining was said to be exclusive for hotel guests which delighted us. We really do not want to be with so many people.

I think the hotel only had four families, including us, who were there that time. And that was fun.
We don't have to share the pool with so many people.

This was our photo before leaving. Too bad my camera was exhausted already and we weren't able to take a better shot.

PROS:
1. It was new and the facilities were still okay.
2. The hotel room and bathroom was clean.
3. The hotel pool was clean (at first)
4. The resort is not so crowded with swimmers
5. You can bring in food.
6. They had elevators.
7. Free bathroom needs.

CONS:
1. The wavepool was not functioning. We were told that they will only operate the wave pool IF there are more than 40 guests. It was disappointing.
2. The restaurant was not operating as well because there are few guests.
3. The tv has no cable. It only has channel 7 and 5. Even channel 2 was not there. A crew even tried to fix it but nothing happened.
3. They do not serve the foods on their menu because again they only have few guests. They only offered us sisig and squid. Good thing we still have packed foods for those who didn't want to eat those foods.
4. On breakfast, we ordered 5 tapsilogs, but we got porkchop, rice and egg. I couldn't call that porksilog anyway because the rice was plain, it was not sinangag. They only offer that one dish since again, they keep on saying that they only have few guests.
5. The wifi also is not functioning.
6. The hotel pool was open for all. Everyone was allowed to come inside and those people were really noisy. :( It was promised that the hotel pool was exclusive for hotel guests only.

My rate from 1-10 would be 7. I have been to a lot of resorts and I must say that they should really operate even if they do not have much guests. It is really disappointing that they have teriyakis and more dishes on the menu which made me crave and they can not provide those. The place really looked good and it will look better if only they had opened all their facilities. It was really boring. In the room, you can not even watch anything except channel 7 and 5. Good thing I brought my flash drive with movies. It kept me through the night. I woke up with porkchops when I ordered tapsilogs before i slept.

I would love to come back IF the management will change the way it operates. I hope they could, this place is really promising.

Lastly, the place for now is good only for 2days and 1 night. I don't think the day and night swimmers had the most out of their money since the wave pools they paid were not functioning (as I've said a while ago, day and night swimmers are only allowed to the 2 wave pools and 1 kiddie pool) Maybe that was the reason why the management allowed them to enter the hotel pool which wasn't good for the hotel guests like us.

Hope the management could read this and make their services better :)
